At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving an overturned car on Highway 178 in Bakersfield early Friday morning, June 13, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 1:03 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 178 and Haley Street.

Authorities reported that one of the vehicles overturned as a result of the crash. The identity of the deceased has not been released, and it remains unclear whether anyone else was injured.
