[06-14-2022] Marin County, CA - Pedestrian Woman Fatally Struck in San RafaelAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was killed after a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in unincorporated San Rafael Tuesday night, June 14, 2022.

According to CHP, the fatal collision occurred at 9:23 p.m. on Rubicon Court.

CHP Officer Darrel Horner said Brian P., 39, of San Rafael, the driver of the Land Rover that struck the female pedestrian and killed her, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and causing great bodily injury, and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

The identity of the victim has yet to be revealed.

According to the CHP, the woman killed in the crash was standing in the roadway when she was struck by the Land Rover’s left side, directly in front of the Land Rover, for reasons that investigators have yet to determine.

According to the CHP, the pedestrian died as a result of her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the CHP, the Land Rover’s driver remained at the scene and was not injured.

The investigation hasn’t come to a conclusion yet.
