[06-14-2023] Tragic Tesla Crash Claims Lives of Mother and Daughter After Collision with TreeA 44-year-old mother and her 12-year-old daughter were killed after a fiery crash into a tree in Santa Clara on Wednesday afternoon, June 14, 2023.

The Santa Clara Police Department said the collision occurred on the northbound lanes of San Tomas Expressway, between Forbes Avenue and Homestead Road.

As per the report, a mother driving a Tesla collided with a tree, resulting in the vehicle catching fire shortly after the impact. Tragically, both occupants of the car lost their lives in the incident.

The witness explained that the driver initially lost control of the vehicle, swerved left at the intersection, and then made a right swerve to avoid leaving the road and veering onto the shoulder. Unfortunately, during this maneuver, the Tesla struck the curb and crashed.

The identities of the two individuals involved have not been disclosed.

The investigation is ongoing.
