A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run car in Oakland on Friday evening, June 16, 2023.
The Oakland Police Department confirmed the incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. near Foothill Boulevard and Vicksburg Avenue, two blocks south of Horace Mann Elementary School.
According to the report, a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident. Upon arrival at the scene, officers transported the victim to a local hospital, initially in critical condition. Unfortunately, the pedestrian tragically died at the hospital later that night.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed. No further information is available, including the driver who reportedly left the scene.
