[06-19-2022] Lake County, CA - 27-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Minivan West of Sayre AvenueAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a 27-year-old pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run collision on Highway 20 Sunday, June 19, 2022.

According to the CHP, the fatal crash occurred just after midnight, early Sunday morning, as she walked east on Highway 20, west of Sayre Avenue.

A 24-year-old Nice resident named Amanda A. was the victim who was struck.

She was on the south side of the road when a car came up from behind, veered onto the shoulder, and struck her, according to the authorities.

According to the CHP, Arney was thrown down an embankment and stopped close to a fence where she was partially hidden by vegetation.

She was discovered, and the authorities were notified around 7:40 on Sunday morning. At the scene, she was pronounced dead.

A 2013 silver Toyota Sienna minivan has been noted as a possible suspect vehicle. According to officials, it may have a windshield, headlight, and side mirror damage on the right side.
