[06-20-2022] Solano County, CA – One Person Killed in Fatal Head-On Crash Near Fairfield

According to local authorities, a driver was killed after colliding head-on with a car carrier close to Fairfield on Monday night, June 20, 2022.

The collision occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m. in the vicinity of Vanden Road between the Leisure Town Road traffic circle and Cannon Road between Vacaville and Fairfield.

According to the Fairfield Police, a driver struck the car carrier head-on after crossing the double yellow lines on the road.

The vehicle driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The carrier’s driver was uninjured and stayed to help the police with their investigation.

The crash resulted in the closure of Vanden for several hours between Cannon and Leisure Town.
