[06-22-2022] Riverside County, CA – Major Two-Vehicle Collision Injured One on Highway 74 in Palm Desert

A two-vehicle crash severely injured one person and was airlifted to a hospital in Vista Point Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

The crash transpired at around 11:50 a.m. on Highway 74 near Vista Point.

The road was closed in both directions for several hours after the major injury crash.

Officer David Torres of the California Highway Patrol said the crash was between a semi-truck and a Dodge Ram.

The driver of the Dodge was airlifted to Desert Regional with major injuries. Bystanders attempted to get the driver of the Dodge out of the vehicle before the arrival of police and medics.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
