[06-23-2023] Amador County, CA – Two People Injured Following Motorcycle Crash Along SR-88

Two people were injured following a motorcycle crash along SR-88, Amador County, early Friday afternoon, June 23, 2023.

California Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on the eastbound lanes of SR-88, west of Hams Station.

A 54-year-old rider named Raymond S. was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson at about 55 to 60 miles per hour when the motorcycle veered off the road and crashed into an embankment.

Swartz and his 36-year-old passenger named Danielle C. flew out of the vehicle. Both suffered major injuries and were transported to Sutter Roseville Hospital by air.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
