A collision with a suspected DUI driver in Yucca Valley, San Bernardino County, left a 23-year-old motorcyclist injured on Sunday evening, June 25, 2023.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, authorities responded to the crash near the intersection of Emerson Ave and Arcadia Trail at around 5:30 p.m.
Authorities stated that the motorcyclist was traveling towards the east on Arcadia Trail when a car, driven by a 35-year-old Yucca Valley resident identified as Latee I, hit him.
Officials said the motorcyclist sustained injuries and was taken to High Desert Medical. Police added that the vehicle driver was intoxicated, leading to the collision. As a result, the driver was detained and booked at the Central Detention Center.
No further details were released, and anyone with the information is highly encouraged to contact the authorities immediately.
