[06-26-2022] Kern County, CA – Deadly Multi-Vehicle Crash Killed a Woman on I-5 at Grapevine Road

According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman died in a multi-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 5 Sunday night, June 26, 2022.

The crash occurred around 9:47 p.m. on northbound I-5, south of Grapevine Road.

Officers responded to the scene and discovered three vehicles involved in the collision that claimed the life of a woman riding in the back of a Toyota Tundra.

The collision involved a 27-year-old San Jose man driving an Acura ILX and a Peterbilt Truck Tractor being operated by a 59-year-old Tehachapi man.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office reports that the determination was made around 9:47 p.m. On the northbound I-5 at Grapevine Road, Khamlounh T., 63, of Modesto, was a passenger in a car that ran off the road and overturned at least once. Thammaaly expired there and then.
