A male driver was airlifted to the hospital after being hurt in a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 138 on Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2022.
The crash occurred around 1:50 pm, about a mile from Interstate 15, at the road’s sharp turn on Highway 138’s Hesperia side.
The crash was investigated by the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department. They discovered a black Ford F-150 and a red Ford F-150 pickup truck.
According to the CHP traffic log, the male driver was in a lot of pain and had injuries to both arms and his face. Firefighters then asked for a medical helicopter to fly them to a nearby trauma center.
Reach Air Medical #43 transported the driver to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center after the medical helicopter had landed at the accident scene.
No update about the drivers’ condition was stated at this time.
The red Ford truck lost control for unknown reasons before colliding with the black Ford truck.
There are no other details available.
The California Highway Patrol Inland Office is still investigating the crash.
