[06-27-2023] Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Citrus Heights Area Claims One LifeA pedestrian was fatally struck by a car in Citrus Heights on Tuesday night, June 27, 2023.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. at Auburn Boulevard and Antelope Road intersection, as confirmed by Sacramento Metro Fire.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the pedestrian on a sidewalk. Unfortunately, they were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver sustained no injuries.

Emergency responders noted that the collision damaged several utility poles and a traffic light.

Citrus Heights police stated that the eastbound lanes of Antelope Road, situated west of Auburn Boulevard and east of Lauppe Lane, were expected to be closed significantly.

The identities of both individuals involved have not been disclosed, and the precise cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
