An elderly woman was found lying on the street after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Vacaville on Tuesday morning, June 27, 2023.
The Vacaville Police Department said the accident happened around 6:00 a.m. in the Yosemite Circle and Plumas Court area.
It remains unclear as to how the accident happened. Only a neighbor discovered the victim pooling on her own blood while the hit-and-run driver had gone missing.
The victim sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital. There has been no public disclosure of the identities of those involved.
The search for the hit-and-run driver continues. Those who have video footage from the area during the crash or have seen someone with vehicle damage are asked to contact the police.
