[06-30-2022] Madera County, CA - Two People Hospitalized With Critical injuries After Two-Vehicle Crash Near Avenue 12According to the California Highway Patrol, two people have been hospitalized with major injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Madera Thursday afternoon, June 30, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred before 3:00 p.m. near Avenue 12 and Road 34 ½.

According to police, a Dodge Caliber was sideswiped by a Saturn, which caused the Dodge to spin out of control before coming to a stop.

The Saturn’s driver continued in the opposing lane, colliding head-on with a Chevy Traverse. In the end, the Chevy flipped over.

According to police, one passenger in the Saturn received medical attention at Community Regional Medical Center via airlift, while the other was taken to a hospital in Madera.

Two kids and one adult from the Chevy went to the hospital as a precaution but are expected to be fine.

Investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
