A male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Old Town, San Diego, on Saturday evening, July 1, 2023.
The man was walking in the bike lane along the west curb line in the 4600 block of Pacific Highway, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Authorities stated that the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a 2019 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 24-year-old lady.
Officials said the pedestrian was given CPR before being transferred to the hospital, where he died. Police did not reveal any other information concerning the crash; however, it was reported that alcohol did not play a role in it.
