According to the Walnut Creek Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 1:21 p.m. on Ygnacio Valley Road east of Lennon Lane.

An unidentified man was doing maintenance by a curb when a driver jumped the curb and struck the worker.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver was uninjured and remained at the scene.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal crash.
