A male pedestrian in his late 40s was killed after being struck by a car on Interstate 5 in Sacramento on Monday morning, July 3, 2023.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at about 6:00 a.m. on Interstate 5 near Richards Boulevard.
According to the investigation authorities’ report, the pedestrian was reportedly struck by a Ford F-150 between the 2nd and 3rd lanes. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.
The pedestrian lost his life in the accident, and there is no information regarding the condition of the vehicle’s driver and passengers, if any.
The people involved in the accident have not been identified as the investigation into the crash continues.
