An 80-year-old man was killed following a two-vehicle collision near Green Hills Nursery in Fresno on Tuesday afternoon, July 4, 2023.
The Fresno Police Department responded to the accident.at Clinton and Armstrong Avenues just before 6:00 p.m.
It was reported that a suspected driver under the influence of alcohol failed to obey a stop sign and collided with another vehicle. The driver of the latter vehicle died despite being taken to Community Regional Medical Center. He was identified as Joe C., a resident of Fresno.
The identity and condition of the first vehicle’s driver have not been released, but he was charged with felony vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI.
Authorities are still conducting their investigation.
