[07-05-2022] Butte County, CA - Unidentified Pedestrian Killed in Hit-And-Run Collision in OrovilleAccording to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers, a suspect leaves after hitting and killing a pedestrian along Highway 70 near Oroville Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

According to the CHP, the crash occurred just before 4:00 a.m. a car struck the pedestrian on the right shoulder of the Garden Drive off-ramp on northbound Highway 70.

The collision caused the pedestrian to pass away. The involved car, however, was not present.

Police claim to be searching for a 2005–2007 Ford Excursion or Superduty.

The right front headlight will be missing, and the hood, right front fender, and right portion of the front bumper may also sustain damage.
