According to the Berkeley Police Department, A major collision injured two pedestrians and caused a shut down of a major thoroughfare in Berkeley late Saturday evening, July 9, 2022.
The collision occurred around 10:30 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Addison Street intersection.
According to a Berkeley police dispatcher, two pedestrians were hurt and taken to the hospital immediately after the crash.
There is no information regarding their condition or whether the driver was at fault for the accident.
Martin Luther King Jr. Way was shut down for several hours as the Berkeley Police Department investigated University Avenue and Center street, according to a spokesperson for the department.
