[07-15-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Fatally Struck by Vehicle in South El Monte

A person was killed after being struck by a vehicle in South El Monte on Saturday afternoon, July 15, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 4:05 p.m. at the entrance to a bike trail on Thienes Avenue and Parkway Drive.

There were no additional details as to how the accident happened. It was not determined whether the victim was on foot or a bicycle.

The identities of the people involved have not been disclosed to the public. The kind of vehicle involved was also not reported.
