[07-16-2022] Shasta County, CA - Two People Hospitalized After Motorcycle Crash in ReddingAccording to the Redding Police, a motorcycle driver and passenger were ejected after losing control and were seriously injured on Quartz Hill in Redding Saturday, July 16, 2022.

The crash occurred at around 8:07 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Boulevard and Quartz Hill Road in Redding.

According to Redding Police, officers started providing first aid to the accident victims as soon as they arrived on the scene until medical personnel could arrive. After that, they were brought to Mercy Medical Center for care.

When the Redding Police Traffic Unit started looking into the collision, they believed there had been an altercation between the motorcycle driver and the driver of a white pickup truck prior to the collision. After the pickup turned left onto Quartz Hill Road, the motorcyclist crashed.

Alcohol or drugs do not appear to have contributed to the collision.

The Redding Police are requesting that anyone with information about the incident call the traffic unit at 530-225-4200 as the crash is still being investigated.
