[07-16-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – One Driver Killed Following Multi-Vehicle Crash in Barstow

One driver was killed following a multi-vehicle crash in Barstow on Sunday evening, July 16, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 8:45 p.m. along Interstate 15 near Lenwood Road.

A white and black Jeep driver was traveling without rear view lights when a white SUV driver tried to avoid rear-ending the Jeep. The SUV driver lost a tire, drove into a ditch, and overturned in the center divider.

A black Honda Civic driver struck the SUV’s tire and got damaged. The SUV driver sustained fatal injuries, and no other major injuries were reported.

The identity of the SUV driver remains unknown. The authorities have yet to release further details on the fatal crash.
