[07-17-2022] Santa Barbara County, CA – Motorcyclist Dead in Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101 in Santa Maria

According to the Santa Maria Fire Department, a motorcyclist suffered major injuries after a two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 in Santa Maria Sunday evening, July 17, 2022.

The crash occurred around 8:21 p.m. in the southbound lanes near the Betteravia Road offramp.

According to the Santa Maria Fire Department, one person was flown to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

The California Highway Patrol has not provided additional information on the crash or whether any other vehicles were involved.

The collision is still under investigation.
