According to the California Highway Patrol, two persons were killed, and five people were injured after a multiple vehicle crash on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
The incident happened near the Baker Blvd. offramp, and at least three vehicles were involved. According to CHP incident logs, the collision involved a red compact 4-door sedan, a gray SUV, and a blue pickup truck.
According to the CHP, two adults were unconscious, and a child in a baby seat was ejected according to radio traffic.
San Bernardino County Fire responded to the scene and confirmed a total of seven patients, three considered life-threatening and requested three helicopters to land on the scene.
Unfortunately, two of the helicopter requests were canceled after two of the immediate patients died at the scene.
Officers remained on the scene with a mangled red sedan, awaiting the arrival of the San Bernardino County Coroner.
The CHP Barstow station is in charge of the investigation, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
