[07-19-2022] Yuba County, CA – 18-year-old Killed, 2 Others Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on SR-99According to the California Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old girl from Olivehurst and two others were injured following a suspected DUI wrong-way accident on Tuesday night, July 19, 2022.

According to authorities, the accident on SR-99 near Live Oak Boulevard shortly before 8 p.m.

The CHP discovered that a 2006 Toyota Solara driver is an 18-year-old Olivehurst resident. She was traveling south in the northbound lane of Highway 99 when she collided head-on with a U-Haul moving van traveling north.

The Solara’s driver was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries, while the U-Haul overturned, injuring the two people inside but allowing them to escape.

According to the CHP, DUI is suspected to be a factor in the crash.
