According to the California Highway Patrol, a South Lake Tahoe man died, and another person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
According to authorities, a Yamaha motorcycle and a Toyota pickup were involved in the two-vehicle collision.
According to the CHP report, the driver of the 2009 Yamaha, a 47-year-old man whose name has been withheld pending notification of next of kin, was heading northbound on Black Bart Avenue at an unknown speed just south of Hank Monk Avenue.
The Toyota’s driver, a 40-year-old woman, was turning left onto Black Bart Avenue southbound from Hank Monk Avenue westbound when the man on the motorcycle collided with the left side of the Toyota.
According to the authorities, the man was taken to Barton Memorial Hospital and later died due to the collision.
The woman was also transported to Barton with minor injuries.
According to the report, both drivers were wearing safety equipment.
There were no arrests, and the crash is still being investigated.
