[07-20-2022] Riverside County, CA- 33-year-old Motorcyclist Killed after Suspected DUI Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Moreno ValleyAccording to authorities, a motorcyclist died after a driver suspected of driving under the influence collided with the victim’s motorcycle on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened at a Moreno Valley intersection. The victim was identified as Mikela Lang of Moreno Valley.

Byron Alexa Cifuentes Saucedo, 23, was driving his 2010 Nissan Altima eastbound on Filaree Avenue around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday when the traffic signal at the intersection of Filaree and Perris Avenue turned red.

According to Sgt. Robert Grmusha, the suspect, failed to stop for the red light and entered the intersection just as Lang was driving southbound on Perris on her 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650.

The victim was thrown onto the road.

According to the sergeant, Saucedo allegedly bailed out of his sedan and attempted to flee but was stopped by witnesses who physically restrained him until patrol deputies arrived.

Within 10 minutes, paramedics arrived and pronounced Lang dead on the scene.

Saucedo was arrested and booked into Riverside’s Robert Presley Jail on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter with intoxication and hit-and-run resulting in great bodily injury in the death of Mikela Lang.

Saucedo is being held without bail for $75,000.00.

According to Grmusha, the subsequent investigation revealed that Saucedo was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
