Multi-Vehicle Crash Statistics

The rising number of traffic accidents in the state is directly associated with its booming economy. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that 3,304 people died in traffic-related incidents in 2010.

However, driving in California is fraught with danger. Those accidents could have been avoided if the drivers involved had exercised a bit more caution. Over 94% of accidents occur because of human error.

Car accident injuries can range from being very uncomfortable to potentially lethal. Sadly, drivers can easily become numb to the dangers they face on the road due to the frequency with which accidents occur.

A multi-vehicle collision is defined as an incident involving three or more vehicles. Six cars could be involved in a pileup if two cars collide head-on.

More than 13,000 people were killed in multi-vehicle accidents in 2010, according to a new report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Sacramento County Car Accident Lawyers

Prosecuting the drivers is simpler in cases where only two cars were involved. Finding a solution can take longer when multiple vehicles are involved in an accident.

It’s more difficult to figure out who or what’s to blame. If two or more cars had collided, a lot of people might have been hurt.

If the circumstances surrounding the cause of a multiple-vehicle collision remain murky, relying on an insurance company may be unwise. Don’t expect an insurance company to settle your claim quickly because doing so would hurt their bottom line more than it would help you.
