A 41-year-old cyclist was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash in Orinda on Monday, July 25, 2022.
According to the authorities, the collision occurred at approximately 5:07 p.m. on Appian Way in Pinole.
The police discovered that the hit-and-run driver was 73-year-old Joseph Kish from Orinda and killed the 41-year-old cyclist from Oakland.
When Kish was driving in Pinole on Appian Way, he hit an adult male cyclist, hurting him and breaking his pelvis.
After the accident, Kish didn’t stop, and police later found him with the help of witnesses.
After the accident, the cyclist got to a nearby motel, where he called the police. A person who saw the crash gave police photos and a statement to help them figure out what happened.
