According to Riverside Police, some people suffered minor injuries during a wrong-way chase on streets and freeways on Monday, July 25, 2022 after the driver of a stolen Amazon delivery truck crashed into cars and nearly collided with several more vehicles on Monday, July 25, 2022.
According to authorities, the reckless driver clipped a car at an intersection and slammed into the rear end of another car on a freeway in Riverside. This incident was captured on video.
Several times during the chase, the large truck was driving on the wrong side of the road on streets and the 215 and 60 freeways.
According to the police, the driver is a 32-year-old Nevada man. He was detained following a crash on the 60 Freeway, where he ditched the truck and ran across the road. He was apprehended after attempting to scale a barrier wall.
The pursuit started after the truck was stolen during a carjacking and home invasion robbery at a mobile home park. The GPS tracking device in the box truck was used by police to track its location.
