According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, a man on a motorized scooter was struck by an oncoming vehicle in Vista early Tuesday morning, July 26, 2022.
According to the Vista Fire Department, the crash transpired at 3:30 a.m. near North Santa Fe Avenue and East California Avenue.

Paramedics transported the victim, who had severe injuries, to Palomar Hospital. The driver sustained no injuries.
The driver was cooperative during the investigation and stayed at the scene.
Authorities believed that neither alcohol nor drugs contributed to the collision.
