[07-27-2022] San Francisco County, CA - Road Rage Leads to Multi-Vehicle Crash in Downtown San FranciscoEmergency personnel responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision in the heart of San Francisco on Wednesday afternoon, July 27, 2022.

The collision occurred around 4:15 p.m. at Market and Front streets.

Police say they chased a car following a report of gunfire and a road rage incident.

According to the police, nobody was injured.

The police said two people had been taken into custody. According to an SFPD spokesperson, the shooting started about 2.5 miles away at the intersection of Lombard and Laguna streets.

According to Officer Kathryn Winters, the victim informed police that he had engaged in a road-rage incident with another vehicle.

The other driver, according to police, brandished and fired a gun before escaping the scene.

Police claimed to have found a car that matched the suspect’s description. They made an effort to stop the car, but the suspect allegedly took off.

According to Winters, the police chased the car until it came to an end at the collision site at Front and Market.

The suspect vehicle’s two occupants were taken into custody. It’s unclear exactly when the pursuit started.

A white truck has been turned on its side at the scene. It appears that there was another white car that was severely damaged.

The crash remains under investigation.
