According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a person driving under the influence killed one in a two-vehicle crash near Hollywood Forever Cemetery Saturday morning, July 30, 2022.
The two-vehicle collision occurred just before 2:00 a.m at 6078 West Santa Monica Blvd. As the car turned left onto Santa Monica Boulevard, another vehicle T-boned it.
According to LAPD Officer Lee, a man in his 20s who was a passenger in the turning car was declared dead at the scene by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Although it is not yet known if speed played a part, Lee added that alcohol and drugs were a factor and that the other vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and was detained.
Investigations into the crash’s cause are ongoing.
