[07-30-2022] Los Angeles County, California- 2 People Injured after Five-Vehicle Collision in Newhall

According to authorities, two people were taken to the hospital after a five-car collision at the intersection of Wiley Canyon Road and Lyons Avenue in Newhall on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

One woman was temporarily trapped inside her silver four-door sedan before firefighters rescued her. Her injuries were unknown at the time of publication, but she was conscious at the scene.

According to some witnesses, another woman, clutching her left arm and wearing a neck brace, was also dragged from her red Hyundai SUV. This woman was also conscious and appeared to be in good spirits when she arrived at the scene.

A blue four-door sedan, a gold Toyota pickup truck, and a silver two-door Mitsubishi were also involved. Three of the vehicles received minor damage, but the silver four-door sedan and the red SUV were severely damaged.

The circumstances of the crash and the extent of the injuries sustained by those transported were unknown at the time of publication.
