[07-30-2023] Male Pedestrian Killed Following Two Separate Vehicle Collisions in OaklandA man was struck and killed by two separate cars in Oakland on Sunday morning, July 30, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 1:17 a.m. on Highway 13 near the Park Boulevard on-ramp and the Montclair neighborhood.

The report stated that the pedestrian was in the second lane when he was struck by two vehicles, one of which was a black Toyota Corolla. He was reportedly crawling in the slow lane after the crash.

The Oakland Fire Department arrived and confirmed that the man had died on the scene at about 1:33 a.m. Both drivers stayed at the incident, and neither alcohol nor drugs were thought to have caused the accident.

Shortly afterward, the CHP shut down the highway’s southbound lanes and diverted traffic to Park Boulevard.

No information was released regarding the identities of the people involved as the investigation continues.
