One person was injured following a dog attack in Petaluma on Tuesday afternoon, August 01, 2023.

According to the Petaluma Police Department, the incident happened around 3:25 p.m. in the 1200 block of San Rafael Drive.

An unknown dog was reportedly running loose in the neighborhood when it bit the victim, who suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police officers contained the dog, which was placed by North Bay Animal Services in a 10-day bite quarantine while investigations are underway.
