[08-02-2022] San Bernardino County, CA - Driver Injured Following a Read-End Collision on northbound I-15A driver was injured in a rear-end accident involving a sedan and a pickup on Interstate 15 near the Cajon Pass on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

The collision happened at about 1:43 p.m. before the Oak Hill Road exit.

The California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Fire Department received reports of a blue Porsche Panamera car colliding with the Ford F-250 pickup’s rear end. They may have been traveling at an unknown high speed.

According to emergency personnel, the blue vehicle had significant front-end damage.

The passenger escaped without injury, while the driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance.

There were no other injuries reported.

Due to the cars obstructing the #1 and #2 lanes of travel, traffic was backed up for more than 5 kilometers.

The lanes had been reopened by 2:40 p.m.
