[08-03-2022] Tulare County, CA - Multiple People Injured After Greyhound Bus Crashes off Highway 99 near TulareAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a Greyhound bus crashed and landed on its side injuring several people near Tulare Wednesday morning, August 3, 2022.

According to CHP, the crash occurred at 3:00 a.m. just off Highway 99 near Avenue 260.

It went through a chain link fence and ended up on its side in the parking lot of Horizon Nut Processor.

At this point, it’s not known why the bus veered off the road. Authorities were able to get the bus back on its wheels.

There were 34 passengers on board, and 21 people were taken to at least three different hospitals in Tulare, Visalia and Hanford with minor to moderate injuries.

Officers say the bus was on its way to Fresno from Bakersfield when it crashed.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
