[08-03-2023] Riverside County, CA – Chain Reaction Crash Involving Two Semi-Trucks and RV Injures Two People in Beaumont

Two people were injured after a chain reaction crash involving two semi-trucks and an RV in Beaumont on Thursday morning, August 3, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident on Interstate 10, east of Cherry Valley Boulevard, around 4:00 a.m.

East of Cherry Valley Boulevard, an eastbound tractor-trailer combination on I-10 rear-ended a second tractor-trailer. Due to the impact, one of the tractor-trailers traveled up the grade at approximately 45 to 50 miles per hour, colliding with an RV with a Honda in tow.

The semi-truck drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment. The RV driver did not require further treatment after being checked out at the scene.

The identities of those involved in the crash were not released to the public.

Due to a full closure of eastbound I-10, people are advised to seek alternative routes.
