[08-05-2022] San Mateo County, CA - Two-Vehicle Crash Results in Two Deaths, One Seriously Injured in SR-92According to the California Highway Patrol, two people are dead, and one is left seriously injured following a crash on CA State Route 92 Friday morning, August 5, 2022.

The crash occurred around 9:44 a.m. on SR-92 westbound, east of Foster City Boulevard.

According to CHP, the driver of a silver Ford Fusion allowed the car to veer to the right for an unknown reason as it was moving westbound at an unknown speed in an unknown lane.

The vehicle crossed lanes, struck a head-on Volvo Big Rig truck that was parked on the right shoulder, and then came to rest in a ditch. At the scene, the driver and rear passenger passed away from their wounds.

According to the CHP, the right front passenger had serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. The collision had no impact on traffic, and all lanes were open while the accident was being investigated.
