Five people were injured, with one of them extricated from the wreckage, after a collision between two vehicles in Oakdale on Saturday afternoon, August 5, 2023.
The California Highway Patrol and other local authorities responded to the accident at Lon Dale Road and Valley Home Road around 12:16 p.m.
What led to the accident is unclear, but five people were injured at the scene. A person trapped inside the vehicle was extricated from the wreckage. An air ambulance transported the patient to a trauma center nearby. A second one was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
There is no information on whether the other three patients were transported to local hospitals or if they were treated at the scene. It was not mentioned in the reports how severe the injuries were or what their current condition was.
The authorities did not disclose the identities of the people involved.
A crash investigation is currently underway.
