A male cyclist was injured severely after a hit-and-run accident in Windsor Downtown on Saturday morning.
The accident transpired around 5:15 a.m. at the Shepherd and Ouellette Avenue intersection.
According to the police report, an adult man and a damaged bike were found on the road, assuming no vehicle was involved nearby.
Police identified the driver as a 33-year-old Essex man, who was detained on Tuesday after an investigation.
Additionally, the car was located and seized as proof.
According to police, the involved car is a grey Ford F-150 pickup truck with black mirrors.
Police arrested the person involved. They now charge him with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in bodily harm. They freed him on the condition that he would show up in court later.
Even though a person has been arrested, the police are still looking for footage of the car’s prior and subsequent local driving.
