[08-10-2022] Ventura County, CA- Pedestrian Killed after being Struck by Impaired Pick-up Driver on Highway 1

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ventura woman died from her injuries after a pick-up truck crashed onto the shoulder of Highway 1 near Solimar Beach and struck her on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.

According to the CHP, on a Wednesday morning, Mary Jane Centeno, 68, was walking southbound on the righthand shoulder of Highway 1 between Solimar and Emma Wood Beaches in Ventura County when a pick-up truck drove onto the shoulder and struck her from behind.

The right front end of the truck collided with Centeno, who died at the scene from her injuries.
