[08-11-2022] San Diego County, CA – One Person Fatally Struck in a Bicycle Accident in Escondido

A cyclist died after being struck by a car at the Escondido intersection on Thursday, August 11, 2022.

According to the Escondido Police Department, the traffic fatality happened shortly before 10:30 a.m. at North Broadway and El Norte Parkway.

According to EPD Sgt. Steve Braucht, the bicyclist, a man whose name was not immediately known, died at the accident scene.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash is to be further investigated.
