[08-11-2022] San Diego County, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash Injured Multiple People on Interstate-805

According to the California Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle collision injured several people, and the crash caused a commotion on Interstate 805 Thursday, August 11, 2022.

The crash occurred at 1:06 p.m. on eastbound Highway 94 to the transition ramp of southbound I-805.

The female driver of the GMC was approaching the transition ramp to the southbound I-805 while the male driver of the Cadillac was traveling eastbound on Highway 94 with his female passenger in the Cadillac.

One observer thought she saw a couple of fights, and the woman grabbed the wheel.

The GMC was struck when the car suddenly veered to the right. Both vehicles veered off the road, the SUV flipping.
The male started assisting the woman in getting out as the good Samaritans stopped to help.

The woman attempted to flee as she got out of the Cadillac and started walking in the west direction. She was taken into custody by the CHP officer.

The man was placed in an ambulance and taken to a hospital to treat his wound. He suddenly lost control and started attacking the paramedics and a CHP officer.

The one CHP officer received assistance from the SDFD firefighters and CHP officers.

The male struggled with them for some time before they managed to handcuff him, and the paramedic then gave him a sedative.

Investigations into the crash’s cause are ongoing.
