[08-11-2023] 27-Year-Old Rider Dead, Another Motorist Injured After Motorcycle Collision Near LincolnA 27-year-old motorcyclist died, while another motorist sustained injuries in a collision on Highway 65 near Lincoln on Friday afternoon, August 11, 2023.

The fatal crash occurred around 5:39 p.m., along the intersection of Nelson Lane.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the rider on a 2005 Yamaha entered the intersection running through a red light, resulting in a collision with an oncoming 2007 Lexus heading westbound on Nelson Lane.

The motorcyclist was rushed to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center but was pronounced dead shortly after. The driver of the Lexus stated complaints of pain but was not admitted to the hospital.

No further details nor disclosure of either of the involved motorists’ identities were given.
