[08-12-2022] San Francisco County, CA – Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Van Ness Avenue and McAllister Street

A pedestrian suffered severe injuries when he was struck by a vehicle on Van Ness Avenue and McAllister Street on Friday night, August 12, 2022.

According to the San Francisco Police, the officers responded around 8:12 p.m. in the Civic Center area.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.

According to police, the car’s driver was at the scene and was helping with the investigation.

The collision does not appear to result from drug or alcohol intoxication.

The SF Department of Emergency Management had warned to avoid the area.
