[08-14-2022] One Woman Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 1One woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Monterey County on Sunday morning, August 14, 2022.

The crash occurred around 6:00 a.m. Highway 1, close to Springfield Road.

According to investigators, a 2018 Honda Accord struck an unidentified woman who was walking in the southbound lane of Highway 1.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the Honda driver pulled over to the side of the road and stopped, but at least two other cars hit the woman.

Alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in this collision.
