According to authorities, a motorcycle rider was killed at an intersection in Otay Mesa when he collided with a flatbed truck on Monday morning, August 15, 2022.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the tragic collision happened at Coronado Avenue and 25th Street, just east of Interstate 5, at around 6:15 a.m
The motorcyclist was declared deceased at the UCSD Medical Center; his identity was not immediately known.
According to SDPD spokesperson Scott Lockwood, the accident resulted in the immediate area’s traffic lanes being closed until around 9 a.m.
